LJ Idol - Week 4: Ghosting

Black cat on hallows eve
Watching, waiting, trying to decieve
Will he cross your path we’ll have to wait and see
Running very fast coming round the tree
A ghostly appearance waiting for me
Black cat rubbing against my thigh
As I stare down at him I wonder why he dropped by
He purrs affectionately then trots off down the road
Past the halloween lights (the neighbors have a load)
I watched the distant corner as the cat slowed
