Idol Week One Entry

It is hard to beat a person who does not quit
Like moving a mountain or drinking the sea
Like staring someone you are lying to full in the face
Like arguing with a friend
Like doing something you're not good at
Like helping someone you hate
But sometimes you have to try it
So always remember when doing it
Have fun
It is hard to try something new
Like getting a cat instead of a dog
Like making new friends
Like getting a new job
Like moving far away
Like trying new food
It might seem weird or scary
But always remember
Have fun
It is hard to learn something new
Like math or science or a new word
Like the name of a country you did not know
Like a chess strategy
Like a new color
Like a new phenomenon
But it may be hard, breathtaking, or strange
So always remember to
Have fun
Life can be hard perilous breathtaking scary

Our coach always used to start our seasons with Have Fun as the number one goal. We lost something as a club when it shifted from Have Fun to Win.

Life is full of change. Have fun is an important reminder.

Wow, I adore your poem structure! So tight and compact, so clever how you gave the feeling of distinct stanzas, yet sewed it all together in just one with a clear progression and focus. Just like time passing in life and what we experience; it's all connected. The rhythm you created really makes the reader feel the stress of the unknown, but also the energy and excitement of what can be possible. I can't wait to read more of your poems!
